DASHING SA SALES FOR JETOUR SOUTH AFRICA
The Jetour Dashing, the five-seater SUV launched into South Africa last year, has been widely praised by its growing customer base for its striking design, premium feel and accessible price. Offering luxurious features and both style and practicality, the Dashing has quickly gained popularity locally, with July alone seeing the model sell 437 units, and the brand ranking 15th overall in sales and 12th in the passenger-vehicle segment. As one of the two models launched in September 2024, and with two exciting new models launching in the next few months, Jetour is bringing premium SUV experiences within reach of more South African customers. With the Momentum model starting at R439 900, and the Deluxe priced at R469 900, the Jetour Dashing combines modern design, technology, and practicality, and is available in seven colours, including Onyx Black, Crimson Red, Glacier White, Arctic Blue, Ash Grey Forest Green and Slate Grey. Its sleek exterior includes split-type LED headlights and a coupe-like profile, while the interior features a streamlined layout with a modern, intuitive infotainment system designed for ease of use. Powered by a turbocharged 1.5-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine with 115 kW and 230 Nm of torque, the Jetour Dashing delivers smooth performance through a 6-speed dual-clutch transmission. Technology is a key feature of Jetour and in the Dashing, this includes voice recognition, Bluetooth connectivity, and remote engine start. Safety features include ABS with EBD, electronic stability programme, traction control, hill-hold and hill-descent control, ISOFIX anchors, tyre pressure monitoring, with four airbags as standard, and additional side-curtain airbags in the Deluxe model. The Deluxe also adds a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, 360-degree parking assist, and additional driver-assistance features. Further adding to the growing appeal of the brand, Jetour offers a 10-year/1-million km engine warranty, a 5-year/150 000 km vehicle warranty, and a 5-year/60 000 km service plan. The company also has a fully stocked parts warehouse at its Midrand head office to support after-sales service, along with over 50 dealers countrywide. Consumers are increasingly prioritising value and features in their purchasing decisions. With month-to-month sales on the rise, easing inflation and interest rate reductions, and a growing appetite for new cars, Jetour’s bold mark on the South African automotive landscape is only set to continue.
