Changing the game for urban and adventure SUVs
Excitement is mounting as Jetour South Africa prepares to launch its eagerly anticipated T-Series next month. Featuring both the T1 and T2 models, these all-wheel drive SUVs are already generating significant interest, with a growing waiting list of customers eager to be among the first to experience the newest additions to the local Jetour offering. With South Africa’s love of an off-road SUV, one that is powered by a turbocharged engine and equipped with smart features, these two models are set to take the local market by storm.
Since entering the South African market in September 2024, Jetour has established itself among the country’s top 15 automotive brands. Its 5-seater Dashing and 7-seater X70 Plus have outperformed many well-established competitors, highlighting Jetour’s reputation for delivering feature-packed vehicles that combine comfort, style, and affordability. Both dealer satisfaction and customer service have further contributed to the success of the brand, with Jetour achieving Gold Status in the 2025 National Automobile Dealers’ Association (NADA) Dealer Satisfaction Index (DSI) survey. This month also saw the official launch of the Jetour Owners Club in South Africa, offering members exclusive discounts, access to special events, and tailored deals on merchandise, accessories, and experiences.
The T1 and T2 represent the next exciting step in Jetour’s journey in South Africa, with their more rugged, boxy design. The T1 and T2 share the same platform, engine, and drivetrain, but the T2 is slightly taller, wider, and longer. Both can have all-wheel drive, but the T2 is better suited for light off-road adventures, while the T1 is more for city streets. Inside, both models come with high-quality finishes and the latest tech and innovation.
Globally, the T1 has been celebrated as a versatile urban lite off-road SUV, blending comfort with adventure-ready capability. The adventure-ready T2 has become a standout in the off-road segment, rapidly gaining popularity for its rugged design and adaptability for both family travel and off-road experiences. These T-series models are already available in China, Indonesia, Egypt, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Saudi Arabia, Angola and Panama. South Africa will be the first right-hand drive market to receive these new models.
Together, the T-Series embodies Jetour’s commitment to innovation and user-focused design, offering vehicles that are ready for any journey.
With demand already high and the waiting list growing daily, both customers and dealers are eagerly anticipating the launch of these two models, which further underscores Jetour’s commitment to delivering exciting, accessible, and innovative SUVs to South African drivers.
